My husband Ernie and I LOVE the Ichthus music festival held in Wilmore, KY. each year. Ichthus was started in 1970 in response to Woodstock. We spent 3 days this month sitting in a field listening to Casting Crowns, David Crowder Band, Jeremy Camp, Skillet, Hawk Nelson, and many, many more. We were also privileged to hear wonderful speakers. The highpoint of the weekend is simultaneous Holy Communion taken by 20,000 people as the sun sets over the hillside. Just a little taste of heaven.
My other summer adventure is an online Bible Study by Kelly Minter called NO OTHER GODS facilitated by one of my own personal idols BETH MOORE. I took typing in 1970 so the computer is a challenge but I am now blogging and participating in an online forum SIESTAS FOR HIM. Chatting in the chat room may be next!

And here is a comment for you, Linda!! Glad to meet you on the siesta forum. Stop by blog and say hello.
Linda, me again. Thank you for your comment on my blog. You have NO idea...I actually was going to write about Joseph and then didn't. Obviously God used you just now to teach me something He's been trying to tell me.
Thanks for your encouragement and your prayers.
Oh, this will be funny. I'm the only 2 posts and I have different pictures. Let's see how they look?

Hi Linda,
Nice to "meet" you! Thank you for the comment on my blog. = ) To answer your question, no, we live north of Lexington (just across the river from Cincinnati).
I had to smile when I read your post because my son attended Asbury for the first semester of this past year. Because of that, I'm actually more familiar with Wilmore than I am Lexington! (As for my son, he quickly realized that Asbury wasn't a good fit for him and transferred over Christmas break to NKU) We've never been to Icthus...but plan to one of these days...sure sounds awesome. = )
Stop by again sometime!
Blessings,
Tracy
