MIGHTY TO SAVE

We were in Louisville Saturday and I heard a song on their Christian Radio station by a group I was unfamiliar with (Laura's Story, I think). Coming back Sunday I heard the same song. Today the words have been playing in my head, and occasionally coming out my mouth (at work no less).

The song was not really familiar to me. It was a modern praise song I think. I have always attended churches with traditional music programs (hymns, anthems,)and I would not want it any other way. This is my worship music. It ties me to past generations and feeds me spiritually.

I love to listen to contemporary Christian music on the radio, on CDS and at concerts. It just is not my worship style at church.

I can hear some of you saying ( or at least the 2 of you that read my BLOG) WHERE is she going with this!

When something is repeated over and over it is most likely God's voice. Many of you know these words much better than I but here is what spoke to me:

Savior He can move the mountains
My God is mighty to save
He is mighty to save
Forever Author of salvation
He rose and conquered the grave
Jesus conquered the grave

I have been praying for people who are in DESPERATE situations; divorce, health problems, struggles with belief
I think God was letting me know that He hears our cries.
HE CAN MOVE THE MOUNTAINS.

OUR GOD IS MIGHTY TO SAVE.

Hold fast to these promises.

Hi Linda
Thank you very much for stopping by and for your kind comment. It's truly appreciated.
The words are beautiful and each line is just so, so powerful.
Sheryl had also written with about the need to pray for others. This must be a trend - a number of people are sensing the need to pray for so many people from different walks of life. God is up to something.
Look forward to chatting with you in the future.
And thanks again Sheryl.

Hey Linda!

You have such an encouraging spirit!

I was thinking of being mean and asking you how long it took you to type this entry, but I would never do that!

I SO enjoy chatting with you - you make me smile. (ok - you really make me laugh out loud at my computer, which we all know can conjure up some looks from the family!).

Missed you in the chat tonight!

I've seen your ul cards fan name around. Of course that peeked my interest once again as I was just at Sheryl's blog. It peaked my interest because I rarely find people in blog land that live 300 miles from me let alone 50-100. I live an hour north of Louisville in Indiana.

I've come to visit. This song you mention is beautiful. I can almost hear the tune in my head. I think I'll have to google it to refresh my memory but I can partly hear the tune "Our God is mighty to Save" Not sure of the group/singer Laura's Story???

If you'd like to add me to your prayer list of DESPERATE situations, that would be great. In short, my Christian husband unbiblically divorced me last fall. He's been gone since June 07. I say Christian because it's important to know he does have a relationship with Christ but the enemy has gravely deceived him to believing God said the covenant was broken (over bickering, disrespect, arguing, etc.) I say unbiblically because there was no infidelity nor an unbeliever leaving, which are the only two permissable reasons for divorce in the Bible. I guess this is the shortest way to explain my situation. My beloved will have nothing to do with me. He's shutting me totally out to further convince him of my "evilness" and how terrible I am and our marriage was.

It is a desperate situation. It is an impossible situation just as raising the dead and parting the sea. But then we know Who did both of those impossible things.

Impossible odds lead to amazing miracles. I am waiting for mine. There are many marriages in trouble, past divorce, and even some who've now entered non-convetous marriage....but we are banning together and praying for God's intervention in these situations.

Sorry to be so long winded. Probably not a good first impression.

Come visit my blog and see my normal thoughts that aren't on a whim rambling.
In Him,
Paula
